These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website located at connectatranslations.com and the professional translation and notary services provided by Connecta Translations, operated by Marcela Arenas ("Translator," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing this website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the site or our services.
Connecta Translations provides certified English-Spanish and Spanish-English translation services for personal, legal, academic, immigration, and business documents. Marcela Arenas also offers Florida Notary Public services as a separate, independent service from translation.
All translations are performed personally by Marcela Arenas, ATA-Certified Translator (Certification #64082). We do not subcontract translation work to third parties without your explicit written consent.
All quotes provided are estimates based on the information available at the time of inquiry. Final pricing may vary depending on the actual length, complexity, formatting requirements, and urgency of the document(s) submitted. A binding quote will be provided after review of the source document(s).
Prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD). Payment terms will be communicated at the time of the quote. We reserve the right to require a deposit or full payment before commencing work on a project.
Estimated turnaround times are provided in good faith and are not guaranteed unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. Delivery timelines may be affected by document complexity, volume, formatting requirements, and circumstances beyond our control. Rush or expedited service may be available for an additional fee.
We will notify you promptly if a delay is anticipated and will work to complete your project as quickly as possible.
By engaging our services, you agree to:
We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies resulting from illegible, incomplete, or ambiguous source documents provided by the client.
Certified translations provided by Connecta Translations include a signed statement of accuracy by Marcela Arenas, ATA-Certified Translator, attesting that the translation is a true and accurate rendering of the source document to the best of her professional knowledge and ability.
Our certified translations are designed to meet the requirements of US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), US courts, universities, and other official institutions. However, we cannot guarantee acceptance by any specific institution, agency, or authority, as acceptance policies may vary and are outside our control.
If a certified translation is rejected by an institution for reasons related to translation quality or accuracy, we will review the matter and provide a correction at no additional charge, subject to our review of the institution's specific objection.
We offer one round of revisions at no additional cost if the revision request is made within 14 days of delivery and relates to an error or omission in the original translation. Revisions requested due to changes in the source document, client preference, or stylistic choices not related to accuracy may be subject to additional fees.
Revision requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] with a clear description of the requested changes.
You may cancel a project before work has commenced for a full refund of any deposit paid. If work has already begun, cancellation fees may apply based on the percentage of work completed at the time of cancellation.
Refunds will not be issued for completed translations unless a material error in the translation is identified and we are unable to correct it to a professionally acceptable standard. All refund requests must be submitted in writing within 14 days of delivery.
We treat all documents and information shared with us as strictly confidential. As an ATA-certified translator, Marcela Arenas is bound by the ATA Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, which mandates strict confidentiality of all client information.
Your documents will not be shared with any third party without your explicit written consent, except as required by law.
Upon receipt of full payment, you are granted full ownership of the completed translation of your document. We retain no rights to the translated content.
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and design — is the property of Connecta Translations and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any website content without our prior written permission.
Notary public services are provided by Marcela Arenas in her capacity as a commissioned Florida Notary Public and are entirely separate from translation services. A notary public witnesses and authenticates signatures — they do not provide legal advice and cannot certify the accuracy of a document's content.
Marcela Arenas cannot notarize her own translations. Notarization and translation are independent services and must be arranged separately.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Connecta Translations shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of our services or website, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or decisions made in reliance on a translation.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Translation services do not constitute legal representation. If you require legal advice regarding immigration, legal proceedings, or any other matter, please consult a licensed attorney.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Manatee County, Florida.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
